Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I'd recommend this course because it truly helps you prepare for college through its curriculum. AP Biology also gives you the challenge of being able to do the work of a college level student while still in high school, this class has taught me how to study efficiently while also learning while doing it and not just simply memorizing information.

    Course highlights:

Dissecting a cat had to be the highlight of this course. Since a cat has many if its organs in the same place as a human I learned the functions and locations of those organs. Another highlight of this class was note taking, we used images, diagrams , and color to make the notes stick in our mind which really helped when we went back and studied.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The advice I'd give to students considering to take AP Biology is that it's OK to not know any of the information being taught and that's why you ask questions and engage with your classmates. AP Biology can be challenging at times but you will get through it.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is a great general education course for students looking to earn credit for college (this class was dual-enroll) and do not intend to study the sciences. The overall coursework is straight forward and understandable, the number one way to pass the course is to READ the chapter, no matter how boring it seems, and fill out the study guides.

    Course highlights:

I cannot specifically name facts about biology, but that is because I breezed through the course- looking back, I did become better with writing lab reports and towards the end of the year, my study habits did improve with reading the chapters and answering the study guides.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

This is a good class to take for the experience with lab work and reports, just remember to read the chapters and answer any study guides, which only takes about an hour or two a week.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The course is intriguing and informational; however, it is incredibly rigorous.

    Course highlights:

Dr. Kagan is pretty funny. I also throughly enjoyed learning about the different parts and functions of the cell.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you are prepared to study a lot for tests, because they are not easy.
