    This class was tough.

This course is a great way to learn more about what's happening in Washington, D.C., our state capital, and even our city hall.

Learning extensively about how Congress operates gave me insight into how complex the system of creating laws is.

    Advice for students:

Having a helper like Course Hero definitely helps condense the material and allows you to spend more time on other subjects.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mr Mulso is a great teacher. Though there is a lot of material to cover in a single semester, but, if you pay attention and are willing to put the work in, you'll learn a lot. He made the course work interesting and he really engaged us. He was always willing to go back and make sure that we understood the material, and he would occasionally have extra help sessions after school. Mr Mulso was a great teacher, and I would encourage any North student with an interest in US Government and Politics to take his class.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about the way the US government functions, like how the branches work together and against each other. I learned about the way Congress is made up, how members are elected, how many there are. I learned a lot about political parties, from the Federalists and Anti-Federalists, all the way down to the Republicans and Democrats of today. Also, at the end of the Semester, Mulso does a "Scandal Tour of Washington" and it's the funniest, greatest thing ever.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention in class. You won't need to put in as much work outside of class if you take detailed notes and pay attention while in it. If you need help, talk to Mulso, and he'll help. Also, don't take the class because you think that you need to, take it if you want to, or don't, but if you take it just because you think it'll look good on a college app, don't. It was hard for people who actually liked what they were learning about, I can't imagine what it would be like for someone who actually hated the subject.
