    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Learning the history of our beautiful country while having tons of fun in Mr. Cooper's class make the course very entertaining. I believe that knowing where we came from and why we are the way we are as Americans is knowledge that every US citizen should know. Extremely fun class and love learning about history.

    Course highlights:

In depth history of each generation and time period throughout the history of our country. Mr. Cooper covers the entire history of the country with time left in May to study for the AP test and be as fully prepared as one can be.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Find the way of note-taking that suits you best. Everyone learns in a different way, but students have to adjust to the lecture based lessons. Knowing which way to take notes can really help students go back and easily find what they need and study for the tests.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is the best class you will ever take. I feel bad for anyone who doesn't take it.

    Course highlights:

I gained not only knowledge of the history of the United States, but Mr. Cooper's light humor helped to keep us engaged with the information and feel as though we were truly experiencing and understanding the information. Some of the highlights were "Food Fridays" where we all got to bring in food to share so we could relax a little but still get work done, and also the review games we played. Mr. Cooper always found a way to bring up information we had forgotten about and redirect our attention to it so that we would excel on the tests.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to be ready to work hard. Just taking the notes isn't going to cut it. Mr. Cooper teaches at a fast pace and if that scares you then don't take the class. If you love history then this is totally the class for you. I personally enjoyed every moment of it, but I understand that it isn't for everyone. I would say either way, if you like history or not, that you will at least enjoy the 49 minutes you spend in the class even if you struggle on the tests. Sticking with it is the most important part.
