Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course because it has pushed me to extreme limits that have made me overall, a more productive and focused student. The course is highly educational and helps improve writing skills and comprehension skills. English 120 AP Literature also stimulates social skills which is vital when going out into the "real world". Furthermore, the course will assist you outside the classroom and after highschool in life.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course were the class discussions, the essays, and the selection of novels we had to read. From this course, I have learned to speak amongst others more efficiently and effectively. I have also learned how to better retain information when I read and how to better incorporate my information into my writing. English 120 AP Literature has taught me how to see past the surface of what I read and what I hear. This is beneficial because it can be used in other aspects like seeing past the surface of what people say and why people act as they do. Futhermore, the course makes you a better evaluater.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in this course, one should have and develop great time management. I say this because it is rather simple to fall behind if you begin to forget assignment due dates and do not make time for assignments. In order to succeed, one should also take copious yet brief notes on anything done during class or outside of class regarding the course. Efficient note taking skills is a key aspect in successfully completely the course. I wish I had developed efficient note taking skills before the course because not having the best notes assisted in falling slightly behind. Learning to speak openly about many different aspects of society and life is also recommended to be successful in the class. It is important to feel comfortable with the course as well as the content of it. Before I took English 120 AP Literature, I wish I knew about the immense number of class discussions because there is a bountiful amount of them were we must talk and listen about describing personal opinions as well as facts.
