    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is a great opportunity for students who are very interested in the science/medical field. There is a lot of hands on activities.

    Course highlights:

I gained more knowledge about the body and more about science.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't go into the class playing. You have to come in with your head on straight and ready to work. It's a lot of testing and quizzes.

    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend the course especially for students interested in pursuing some sort of medical field. The work load is heavy and the material pretty tedious especially the units on DNA, human systems and diseases and disorders.

    Course highlights:

Since I plan to become a neurologist, I especially liked the units that dealt with the brain and its functions. It was extremely interesting to read and learn about advancements being made with brain disorders and even PTSD.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Students need to press the teacher for specific details about assignments. In several instances, we were assigned projects with very little direction and/or due dates. Because I am very organized and detail oriented, this was extremely frustrating.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It's not so much the material that keeps me from recommending it, it's the teacher. I'm sure Dr Taylor is knowledgeable but she has difficulty communicating the information to the class. Her notes and assignments are vague and she is not particularly organized. We have left class on a Friday with an assignment and have received an email on Sunday evening changing it or adding a considerable amount to it!! It's very frustrating!

    Course highlights:

I really enjoyed the hands-on portion of the class. It really helped to see what her notes and lectures were trying to accomplish. However even then we had issues. She gave us a project to construct a double helix strand of DNA with beads and wire but her directions skipped a step and were actually inaccurate in another part. When we completed the assignment following HER instructions, she told us we had done it wrong and gave the ENTIRE class a bad grade!!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you decide to take this class and get Dr. Taylor, find online videos and lectures to watch. Her test reviews don't reflect the actual tests and her notes are woefully inadequate!
