    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It was a challenging but fun course. From the very beginning, Dr. Sallai would inform you of the intensity of the program giving a little prep lecture: "If you have boyfriend of girlfriend, dump them. Chemistry will be your boyfriend or girlfriend."

    Course highlights:

I learned the basics of chemistry and how it would be useful outside of the classsroom, in the real world. It helped put the lessons into context. Loved the constant references to the Walking Dead and how if we didn't know this material we wouldn't be able to survive. He would then go on to explain how he would survive be the only one to survive because he would do this with this knowledge of chemistry. We would need to work hard if we wanted to make it through a zombie apocalypse.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep up with the reading. The teacher occasionally would take practice problems straight from the textbook, so be sure to work on the work through the problems that come up during the reading of the chapter. Group studies help a lot before an exam. Gather a few friends and work on the problems on whiteboards.
