    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course if you want to learn the more complicated words of the English language as it provides a base to learn where their roots originate from.

    Course highlights:

I learned how heavily influenced the English language is from the old language of Latin and learned the roots of most of the words we use today.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study hard, repetition, learn the different rules of the language, and know some of the history surrounding Rome.

    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because not only was the material taught well, it was taught in a fun way.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were the games that I played and the songs I sang to learn the material provided. In this course I learned the history of the Roman Empire, along with the story of Spartacus, and Helen of Troy

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Participate in the various activities offered in class to learn the material. Study using quizlet and successfully learn how to use the provided charts for the test

    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this class because it is a rich language (although most people consider it to be a dead language), most if our words derive from Latin words and phrases which helped tremendously on the ACT.

    Course highlights:

Mrs. Vanderhoff was the highlight of this course. She made the hard curriculum fun and ultimately easy. The satisfaction of fun learning helps you understand and makes you want to learn more.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The advice I would give is to study gradually. If you look over the material everyday for at least 15-20 minutes, you would do great. Also, pay attention in class. If you do just that, the Latin language would come second-nature.
