Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

During Mr. Lenharts class we learned a lot during the course of the year. We read several books and poems that helped improve reading skills and the way we interpret texts. Be prepared to read a lot and get extensive ACT vocab. Be prepared to write persuasive essays and several papers.

    Course highlights:

During this course I learned lots of vocab words and improved my grammar by a lot. I also learned how to write my papers better.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Going into this course be ready to read and do intensive work everyday. We have notebooks writing and notebook checks. Make sure you read the books and when we read in class make sure you are paying attention.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because I took it in high school and I believe that taking college courses in high school is the best way to go. AP courses are good but the credit is not guaranteed; however, with the program that I am in, guarantees you 3 credit hours as long as you pass with a C average.

    Course highlights:

Because this class is a writing course you have to write lots of papers. But, with writing the papers, I have become a better writer. And becoming a better writer is the purpose of this course, to prepare you to write all types of papers in all classes and genres.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to explore at least four different types of writing styles. Also, take this course in high school if you still have the chance, you will be really grateful and appreciative that you did.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The teacher is great and she makes English a fun course. You also have a chance to earn college credit while still in high school and without taking an AP exam.

    Course highlights:

There were many highlights of this course. It allowed to me to learn to be more confident in my writing. I also learned that the first draft you write isn't going to be the best and that is alright.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed you must do the assignments when they are assigned. You shouldn't wait till the last minute to write your drafts or do your homework.
