    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Mrs. Dyer's teaching style for the English Language and Composition Course closely reflects that of a college class, and is engaging. While preparing students for the AP Exams, Mrs. Dyer also helped refine students writing skills for finals and other courses that require college level essay writing skills.

    Course highlights:

Taking this course changed my outlook on college level courses and AP courses. Through Mrs. Dyer's intense, fast-paced teaching style, I leaned how to work and write successfully under pressure, and passed my AP exams with a 3. I learned how to stage my essays in a way that readers would find most compelling, and how to cut the 'fluff' from my essays and reasoning.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Organization is key! Without binders, notebooks and agendas, you're going to be overwhelmed by the pace of this class. Get to know your classmates as well- it's much easier to get through homework and brainstorm when you've got friends to talk things out with.
