    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Cooney's English Comp. class was probably my favorite class I've had in my high school career. He really takes an interest in his students as equals rather than simply giving us information to regurgitate. I learned a lot from his class due to the effort he put into it and his encouragement to us, and I enjoyed it while I did.

    Course highlights:

I really enjoyed the conferencing with Mr. Cooney about our papers, such as the big argumentative essay assignment second semester. It was very helpful to get an idea of what I need to fix in my writing, what was already good, and where my paper was headed as far as my thesis and outline had already established.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep on top of your assignments, especially second semester. It's not all that difficult unless you end up behind on one assignment, because a hastily-finished essay outline quickly starts to affect your work on the rest of that assignment down the road.
