    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class pulls you in from the very start. It's intriguing and fast passed course excites and

    Course highlights:

I learned an abundance of new things during this course. I bet you didn't know that water is sticky. The specific molecules in it cause it to stick to everything it touches. That's why you must dry off with a towel, rubbing the water off. Or you must wait to air dry, when the water evaporates into the sun!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

take this class because you love biology. Make sure to do all your homework right away and you'll be fine. Have fun! It'll be over soon.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

At first, I was a bit skeptical about taking an AP Biology class, but upon meeting Mr. VanHouten my entire demeanor changed. He makes biology exciting with jokes, and hands on experiments. I really appreciated how he focused more on the understanding aspect in the class, rather than the grade attached to it. There were many times when we' d complete a worksheet only to come into class the next day with Mr. V asking questions about the worksheet, and making sure we understood the concept.

    Course highlights:

I learned that it is important to dig deeper than the grades. Life is not all about grades, but how you apply information you've learned to tasks. If you apply yourself to this class, you will succeed. While the thought of taking an AP science course may sound daunting, it is important to remember that concepts taught in this class can be applied to everyday life.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Always do the reading. Although it may not seem like a big deal, it is much better to walk into class with a book full of highlights that is never opened, than to have no idea what is being discussed in the class. Also, have fun! This is a fun course, there are many opportunities to do labs, or explain the science behind seemingly mundane things.

I would tell students to study. It may seem like you don't need to, but it's necessary.
