    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because it was rigorous and truly informative. I felt that it improved my writing and reading comprehension to a level that will greatly help me in college and into my profession.

    Course highlights:

I most enjoyed the reading portion of AP Literature, as it gave me the opportunity to read a selection of classic literature, such as Frankenstein and Catcher In The Rye. I liked being able to read these because these books are well known and often referred to, so it made me better informed.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

It is important to "keep on top" of your workload i. this class, as you will have quite a few lengthy assignments, such as books to read or essays to write, and it's best to not always playing catch-up.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It was a wonderful class. If you are a slow reader, I would not recommend this class. You need to read books in one week.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to analyze a story to find deeper meaning. I learned new words and how to write a strong paper.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Be dedicated. Never put it off for later.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is a very well planned course and the concepts are actually interesting. You get to choose the things you read and write about which is rare for a high school english class.

    Course highlights:

I learned lots of helpful things about how to write more complex essays. I benefited greatly from the attention to details that this class focuses on.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would say not to take this class if you're not prepared to take on the work. You have to focus in class and be willing to work on assignments outside of class. If you like reading, then this is a great class for you because you read many books and analyze lots of interesting information.
