I would recommend it because you learn about history other than the United States and it gives you an ability to see things in a different perspective. It is very interesting to see how other countries have developed and you also learn a bit of geography. There is an infinite amount of world history to explore, from the Mayans, the Chinese empires, the religious conflict in the Middle East, the Roman Empire, and much, much more.
I have gained a better understanding of how the world has developed into what it is today. I learned where certain countries are located, and even how some of them gained independence, and why they were in conflict.

Pay attention and don't procrastinate on the essays and you should be good.
