    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course was definitely one of the hardest courses I have taken, but by the end of the year I knew it was worth it. I had learned important skills for writing essays, and made great connections with my teacher and peers. My teacher expected a lot from her students, and she got exactly that. My teacher is very knowledgeable of english, her past students still come to her to help with their papers and she graciously helps.

    Course highlights:

Highlights of this course would be choosing a book to do a research paper on, and completing a research paper on "The Scarlet Letter". These assignments were the hardest of the year. In hindsight, they were the most beneficial because I learned important essay-writing skills. I also learned research skills, meaning how to find reliable, usable information for my thesis.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't procrastinate your work. Your best work isn't done the night before it's due. All the work you do for this course should be done with quality, instead of just getting it done for a deadline. You also should thoroughly read rubrics and make sure you fulfill all the requirements. Also, always use your vocab words!
