Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I feel that taking AP Government is highly beneficial not only to your high school academics, but more importantly to life after high school. Understanding government is very important knowledge for life after high school. You have to know what sources are biased or not, and you also have to learn to listen to both sides of an argument, no matter if you are democrat or republican.

    Course highlights:

For me, the highlight of this course was understanding how the government works. Many aspects of the government is confusing to United States citizens, and learning about how it works is very important to become an informed voter. I was even more interested in this class because I took it on an election year. We talked about the current events in the government every day in this class. Ms. Robinson gave us non-biased facts from both parties, so it also made me a very informed voter, and confident in voice in politics, as well as my choice in presidential candidate.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in this class, you will need to read the chapters multiple times. Reading the chapters will help you do well on all of the quizzes you take every week, as well as help you for the unit tests and the FRQ's. Ms. Robinson also suggests that studying for at least 10 minutes every day will increase your chances of getting a 5 on the AP test. Doing the reading could count as your study time, as well as studying vocab and other important terms.
