    Course Overview:

    Security is pertinent in life today, personal and corporate. It is an increasing skill requirement in any educational path one chooses to walk. In this course, a student will learn VALUABLE information that will be utilized in life on all levels.

    Course highlights:

    I have learned that all types of industry are paying closer attention to the necessity of IT security. This course has taught me about securing not just my personal computer, but securing a corp network through the use of (VPN) virtual private network, an in depth understanding of firewalls and how to manage them resulting in the tightest network possible while not interrupting the day to day functions of multiple levels of business. I have also learned the legalities behind securing a network, such as the responsible officers and the guidelines to following in the NIST requirements.

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

    Stop considering and jump. You won't regret it.
