Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it prepares you for life outside of high school. It gives students the tools they need to navigate the basics of life on their own, both during college and after. It also provides students with a mentorship opportunity with a mentor of their choice, thus giving students more experience in the professional world and the possibility of a future career or employer. Lastly, the course allows students to work on college essays and scholarships in class, which can be a big stress reliever, particularly in the fall at the height of college application season.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was definitely the mentorship. I learned a lot from my mentor and it is always nice to have more opportunities to navigate the professional world. I realized that I have a potential backup career if my first choice doesn't work out. I also gained a potential reference to use on my resume, should I need a reference. In short, the mentorship provided invaluable experience that I know I will use later in life.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The best advice I can give to students considering this course would be to stick to the deadlines. The workload may seem overwhelming, but it isn't that bad so long as you don't procrastinate. The deadlines are all very clear and manageable. As long as you stick to the deadlines and the suggested pacing of the course, you will be perfectly fine.
