Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Everyone has the opportunity to have their voice heard. Through classroom discussions, we can all weigh in on our beliefs. We don't just talk about hypothetical situations, we talk about current events and relate them to our literature.

    Course highlights:

The course integrated humanities with literature. We studied events such as Hurricane Katrina, and it's ripple effects throughout the world. We related the book we read, "Zeitoun" to how it affected everyone.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to have the initiative to get the reading done every week. It is usually about 100 pages per week. You must be open to sharing your thoughts. Critical thinking is a must, and solid presentation skills is also a plus. Be ready for large essays, and the final IB exam.

Personally, I liked our discussions the most because I think they helped everyone gain new perspectives and deeper understandings in reference to the texts.

    Hours per week:

    Advice for students:

Read the books! Give them a chance, you might even like them.
