    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The way this course was taught required a lot of self-motivated progress on material not always presented as part of the syllabus. A lot of outside time is required for success, and grades reflect participation more than understanding. This allows to a misleading appearance of success through grades and teacher feedback, but not a deep understanding of material.

    Course highlights:

I gained a good understanding of world history from the beginning of civilization, with thorough explanation of the development of different cultures around the world and a good understanding of global affairs.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely put in time reading the textbook and outside courses even in addition to what the teacher requires. Additional research is necessary to complement the skills the teacher tries to foster.
