    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

You have to make sure you set aside time to work on this class. You will not succeed if you wait until the last minute to do everything.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I learned a lot about myself and my passion for science in this course. I learned about new genetic diseases and how identifying new diseases could make an impact on the world. This confirmed my interest in biology and led me to pursue AP biology and want to become a doctor.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about genes (obviously) and how mutations can lead to diseases. This was interesting to me because of my medical interest. The way in which mutations can lead to life affecting diseases for families and individuals is incredible, and I want to take a part in that.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay on task. VHS is based on self-control and self-motivation, and you should display both of these qualities in this class. I would recommend that you do the work when it is assigned, so that you do not forget and that you do not fall behind. Also, make sure you are interested in the topic before signing up. I only enjoyed this course because of it went into details and because I love biology.
