Not too easy. Not too difficult.
The class not only helped my better my Spanish, but it gave me a better understanding of Spanish-speaking countries and that they are more than just their beauty and that they have a history they everyone should care to learn/know.
I gained a better understanding for the Dominican Republic and their neighbor Haiti. I learned that before the Dominican was under a more democratic reign, they were a dictatorship. The dictator, Rafael Trujillo, although of Haitian descent, purposefully massacred those from Haiti to keep them away from the Dominican Republic. I also read books in this course that gave me a better perspective of where Spanish-speaking countries history lies and how they've progressed over time.
