    Absolutely. This course allows a student to apply a passion for analysis to problems with actual data in a challenging and fun environment.

    Course highlights:

    I've learned to check the data that we use to make political or social decisions and mine that data for solutions.

    Advice for students:

    Study with a friend. Success in the course is entirely feasible with the help of a partner.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    AP Chemistry is a good transition from Honors-level Chemistry because it fortifies information already learned at the Honors level in the student's mind, but adds a new level of depth.

    Course highlights:

    We took the elements of the periodic table and applied them to conceptual and mathematical situations throughout the year, with real-time experiments to understand the nature of the different elements in the real world.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

    Read the textbook, take thorough notes and be prepared to stay up late completing each assignment. Ask questions frequently.

    Statistics gives students insight on how to collect data in the real world. It is also a good way to become well-rounded in information.

    Course highlights:

    I learned various data collection and interpretation techniques such as histograms, stem-leaf plots, and the Normal model.

    Read the chapters in the provided AP textbook, and do practice problems to ensure that you truly understand the material. To challenge yourself, collect data on your own time and see how you can interpret it.
