    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class to the students who are looking for a challenge in high school or a head start to college if they are pursuing a career that uses in depth biology such as this course. Other than that, this course is exciting when you deal with the experiments. Not your average class experiments.

    Course highlights:

So far in this class, I did a recap on chemistry and some basic biology such as cohesion, capillary action, acids and bases to more in depth talk about the cells parts and their functions. Currently we are talking about genetics, the cell cycle, and sexual life cycles.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Get the Mastering Biology book to study the concepts as soon as possible! The tests are very challenging and will require the students effort in reading many chapters before the test.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class, especially for those that love biology or would want to explore more about the wonders of life. There is lots of reading but it's interesting to learn many things such as DNA, cells, and ecology.

    Course highlights:

I loved learning about genetics. It's interesting to learn about the genes that can be passed on from one generation to the next.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Always read the readings that the teacher assigns! Because right when you get to class, you're expected to know about the readings and would have to partake in discussions on what you read. Also there are many labs so you must know about the material and procedures beforehand to better understand what too do in the lab. Class is tough, since it is anAdvanced Placement course, but it is doable especially if you ask for help and review over the material.
