    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it influences deeper thinking skills and uses a deeper understanding of calculus. This class enhances your problem solving skills. I would not recommend this class to someone who does not like to spend an extended period of time on one problem, or can not concentrate on one thing for a period of time. Also, the student should have completed pre-calculus before entering this class. It is possible to be in this class being in that class, however, it has proven to be very difficult.

    Course highlights:

In this course you learn a lot about mechanical physics. In this class you learn a lot about forces acting upon an object on different platforms and under different conditions, mechanical energy, work done on and by an object, etc. One of my favorite subjects was mechanical energy. In this chunk of material, you learn about work, various types of potential energy, kinetic energy, conservation of energy, and heat energy. All of that material ties together in one way or another and it is very fascinating.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in such an intense class, I recommend that each student prepares themselves for lectures that will not be so clear cut. You need to have lots of time to put into your homework to learn the material. Also, you must know that this class is fast pace so you need to stay on top of things in this class. That means this class has to be one of your top priorities when it comes to doing your work and studying.
