    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course if you're already strong in English, or if you want to really work on your writing skills. Coming out of this course, you'll probably get a 5 on the AP exam and an excellent recommendation letter from Dr. Hightower if you worked hard in her class.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were the projects each semester. First semester, we did the Transcendentalists Project (and wrote speeches) and second semester we did a LD-style debate. I learned how to make my writing more cohesive and argue my points.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to answer questions in class and go to the teacher with questions you have. She's really helpful and if you ask questions she'll see that you care about the material. Do not expect any writing before this class to have prepared you. Learn how she wants you to write, even though there isn't a specific formula.

    | Would highly recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course for students who love to express themselves through poetry and music. The course is fun and it allows you to be you!

    Course highlights:

The course allowed students to get engaged in conversations and poetry. We learned how important poetry is in the world and how it has affected society.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Come in the class with a positive attitude and be prepared to have fun and express yourself.
