Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to anyone that loves history. I would also recommend this course specifically with this professor because he teaches history in a way that you understand it, but also enjoy learning.

    Course highlights:

I learned everything from the starting of American to the wars with Iraq. I learned many details about World War 1 that I never knew before. To be honest before this course I did not even know why World War 1 started.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend taking good notes through the lectures. I would also recommend doing all of the readings that he assigns. Don't stress over the test they are hard, but if you study a lot for the test you will do fine. When he assigns papers make sure that you write them with how you think and why you think that he does not grade on punctuation but on quality.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

You get to learn more about ourselves and how we got to be how we are now.

    Course highlights:

Instead of just lecturing, a lot was just discussion in class and hearing everybody's point of view.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Take it! Enjoy it! And always be ready for a great attention getting discussion.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I am not a history buff by any means, but this class was a breeze for me. The lessons are well planned out, assignments are fairly graded, and the teacher connected with everyone of his students personally. Mr. Stroup is an amazing teacher that taught me so much more than when President Lincoln was put into office; he taught me how a class should be run.

    Course highlights:

My favorite part of this course was an interactive game we played to learn about World War I. We got to get out of our seats and play a fun and educational game. Before the game I had never truly known what WWI was about, but now I will never forget.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

The homework is not hard, and it makes a lot of sense, but study, study, STUDY! Those college level tests are hard and you will not pass if you do not put the time in.
