    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Ms. Benton is the hardest grading teacher I've ever hard, but that's what makes her so good. The course material isn't hard, but it's interesting and makes the students go INTO the curriculum to better understand it.

    Course highlights:

Right away I learned how to "de-fluff" my papers. Before, I would walk around my subjects in a paper and say too much without saying anything at all. Ms. Benton made it her mission to get us to stop saying nonsense and start saying things that mattered! Then we dove into poetry and picked apart each line of certain Shakespeare poems until we could explain forward, backwards, upside down, and inside out, what he was trying to portray.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Come into class each day with an open mind knowing you'll be putting in the hours at home and you'll benefit greatly from this class.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it because it really helped to get me ready for what I should expect next year in college.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to analyze poetry as well as how to satirize things. The majority of the time in class was spent on practicing our writing skills and learning different techniques to improve the skills we already had.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise students to do everything that is asked by the teachers in the time frame that is given. The work will pile up of you fall behind for even one night. However this class is either "feast or famine" when it comes to homework meaning you'll have a ton or none at all.
