Course Overview:
I would recommend this course because it deals with our everyday life. It is about how we look upon the world through statistics. Through this course, one will learn the distinctive type of techniques on how statistics are applied. In addition, it also covers the different kind of charts, graphs and sampling techniques used throughout this course.
Course highlights:
Is a study of basic descriptive and differential statistics. The highlights include types of data, sampling techniques, measures of central tendency and dispersion, elementary probability, discrete and continuous probability distributions, sampling distributions, hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, and sample linear regression. I learned how statistics applied when doing a study, survey or observation on certain things. It is a very interesting course for me to learn that there are so many different techniques to apply statistics.

Advice for students:
My advice is to make sure you have time for it. It takes quite a bit of time to learn this through. It might be confusing at first but eventually one will get the hang of it. One last thing, it is also helpful if a student had some math background such as algebra or pre-calculus, which can be helpful. It also required lots of thinking.
