Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I loved Landis Groom as a professor. I learned a lot about formatting and how to site my sources. I used to be scared to have to papers read in front of the class and Dr. Landis Groom made me less insecure.

    Course highlights:

By taking this course I learned about MLA format and how to write in my own way. We learned that each and every person has a certain way of writing or certain words they use a lot and being able to recognize that, is a very cool skill.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you do your reading. There are quizzes on the chapters you were supposed to read the night before. Also, you need to focus on citing your sources. You hardly ever cute sources at the end of a paper anymore, it is normally through out the paper.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The professor gives points when the students follow the instructions. It helps to write well in English and learn more about how to do a research paper with credible sources.

    Course highlights:

I learned where to find credible information to write an argumentative essay. I also learn how to make a good works cited page, how to use MLA format and evaluate arguments.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommand students to take this class because it will them to know how to do research in other classes.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Teacher was outgoing and explained why we were doing the things we were. Walked us through step by step of the writing process and made sure we understood it.

    Course highlights:

The highlight had to be the first day of class when she came in and did the ice breakers. I learned many different ways to write an essay and incorporate the things i learned in class.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you use her office hours, she always said no one would show up so chances are you will get face time with her. Make sure she knows your name, she'll see you as a human instead of just another student.
