Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Course Overview:
Ms. Minnis is an outstanding teacher that loves to break topics down to make sure her students understand what is being introduced. You don't need to be a mathematician in order to succeed in the class. The class begins with a review of algebra 1 so that you are comfortable with the future material. All of the lectures are presented in step format so the explanations are put into great detail. The homework is fair and you get to practice the material you learn a lot during class.
Course highlights:
The class focuses on everything you need to know on algebra 2. I learned how to utilize quadratic equations and polynomials while also being able to break them down (we did a lot of factoring). Graphical analysis became a bit easier as we used it from time to time. There were several projects that held a creative aspect such as making a pamphlet or a comic strip that showed our mastery on a specific topic such as imaginary numbers and zeros on a graph.
Hours per week:
3-5 hours
Advice for students:
Make sure that you ask questions if you don't understand something. Ms. Minnis is willing to help and so are other classmates. Focus in class and always review your notes to keep an understanding of the material. Test and quizzes come often in the class so its always good to keep up with your studying. The class tends to be outgoing so don't be scared to be yourself and contribute to it.
