    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course has prepared me for college and the high level material that comes with it more than anything else I have done in college. Balancing this extremely difficult course with other high level course proved to be a learning and painful experience I will never forget. I learned all I could have wanted from this course not only about chemistry but how much you have to focus to succeed at the college level.

    Course highlights:

This course featured extensive lab work where expensive equipment was available to the class to use and become familiar with. Also, book work was essential to this course and I definitely know how to outline textbook chapters now. This course taught me chemistry. That is the only term because it would take another essay to say all that I learned but it introduced to the beautiful world of chemistry and has inspired me to continue on my path to become a chemist.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

You need to study, study, study. There is so much material that cramming is impossible and to succeed the information must be ingrained into your brain and be able to be used at any time. Homework is key to succeeding but also taking the labs very seriously. To succeed as a chemist you must be able to work in a lab and this course will give you the basics if you focus and complete each lab to the best of your ability. ALso, taking notes and paying attention to lectures along with practicing taught skills will allow you to succeed and the large and difficult test and apply this information to lab work..
