Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I absolutely adored Honors Biology because it challenged me in ways that no other class did and piqued my interests. Biology taught me not only how the world worked, but why it worked like it does.

    Course highlights:

The highlights for me were the labs—the fruit fly lab and the dissections. I learned on a first-hand account about the living creatures of this planet. These labs taught me that although these animals and insects differ from us humans, they can also resemble us in many ways.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take good notes! Keeping an organized notebook and paying attention in class during lectures made sure I survived this class. Keeping up with the textbook reading is also important. Forming a study group with your friends and classmates can be helpful as well—learning happens best in collaborative settings.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It was a class that I struggled in, however, Mr. Otto was a wonderful teacher that cares for his students all the while trying to get you to think more critically and to broaden your overall studying and learning skills.

    Course highlights:

The disections where a lot of fun. And I learned a variety of different things that are still present with me today.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

It is hard, very hard. However if you are interested in biology, and pursuing a career with something in that regards it is a wonderful class for you.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

One thing you have to do to pass this class is read the book. It's so easy to just stop and don't do the work but if you read the pages you are assigned you will ace the class.
