    Course Overview:

    It was a great base for my Japanese skills, and really prepared me for a trip the following summer.

    Course highlights:

    There was always great conversation and discussion, and projects were fun and informative. I learned a lot about the culture of Japan and it really prepared me for my trip.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

    Always do the Kanji slips, this will really help solidify them in your mind and prepare you for the more difficult ones.

    Course Overview:

    I loved taking Japanese and Mr. Kobayashi is lots of fun! I had an opportunity to go to Japan a couple of summers ago and I will be going again this coming summer. It's a great way to experience another culture.

    Course highlights:

    New vocabulary, Kanji characters, phrases

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

    Pay attention in class. Quizlet is also helpful when studying.

    Course Overview:

    Kobayashi Sensei is wonderful and a very patient teacher. I recommend that you listen hard and practice Japanese sounds.

    Course highlights:

    I learned a lot about the Japanese language as well as Japan and its culture. The highlight for me is Japanese Taiko drumming which I have now studied for two years.

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

    Consider a study buddy as it is good to have someone to practice the language with. Don't get behind!
