This class was tough.
This course was very hands on and interesting. The lab was designed to let you see what you learned in class directly through the experiments.
The best experiment was the gene insertion into E. Coli XL1II Blue cells with a pGLO gene from a jelly fish. The gene insertion allowed the bacteria to produce a protein in the presence of a sugar that allowed the E Coli to glow.

Advice for students:
Do not fall behind. Go to class and get ready for some of the hardest tests you will ever take. The quizzes are easy and are written by the TA. The test is written by Dr. Scheurle and are no joke. When you think you know everything in the manual, read it two more times and you might have a chance.
