    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course was an extremely thorough biology course, ranging from human anatomy to plant systems. The knowledge gained from this course was applicable to many advanced science courses in college.

    Course highlights:

I learned many laboratory procedures and how to write scientific papers.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

This course covers a wide variety of topics, be prepared to memorize and learn a lot of different topics. Take very good notes and keep handouts for exams, everything on tests was talked about so there should be no surprises.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course who is better at learning on his/her own than in a classroom. This course was also difficult to handle due to the way it was taught. My professor jumped around a few different textbooks and often got off topic so us students would get together and learn independently with the textbooks and with what certain students were learning in the same course around the world.

    Course highlights:

My favorite chapter of this course was on the environment. We were able to choose what we wanted to study and present it for the class on a poster. I, for one, am more old fashioned when it comes to presentations. I like the "old" way, drawing on a cardboard poster, cutting and gluing charts and diagrams rather than putting a, potentially more organized, slideshow. I learned about whats going on in the Glacier National Park in Montana. My group focused on the melting of the glacier and its affect on ocean acidification and the effect of the melting glacier on the economy of Glacier.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take it if you feel up to the challenge and find yourself a buddy to study with!
