    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course teaches you how to be responsible and see that you can learn the things you always thought were too hard. It also helps you to get ready for college as you can't always pass with high grades on the test and there is no retaking.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were the labs, I had lots of fun learning and then seeing those put in action. I learned a lot of new study habits and how to tell apart what will be important on the test and what isn't as important.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I would tell students to understand that this is a college level chemistry course so it will be challenging, but if you are willing to put in the time then to go for it.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Mrs. Carroll is an amazing teacher and one of the best teachers I have had throughout my high school experience at Massabesic. She doesn't just teach the material, she teaches excited for us to learn. She is beyond helpful and despite the tough course material, I was always excited to head into AP chemistry.

    Course highlights:

Mrs Carroll was extremely organized and always on top of things which made learning and the overall environment easier. I learned more than I could have ever imagined in one course and I've never felt more prepared for an exam as she made me feel for the AP Chemistry exam in May. I was able to expand my love and knowledge for chemistry much further.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

My biggest "speed bump" was accepting that it was okay to fail and okay to not score a perfect 100 on a test (which by the way, you can't do in this class). I had to learn that the test were set up in a challenging way where you were not able to get everything right-I had to learn that that was okay. Going into this class with a positive attitude and the realization that you have to work, is crucial.
