    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Course focuses a lot in the general chemistry, and is very broad.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was learning about the periodic table and why it is laid out the way it is. You sort of learn the periodic table inside and out.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not underestimate the coursework. Keep up with the homework and do the practice problems.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course provides great insight into how atoms function, from how they bond to how they are structured. This is the foundation of chemistry, and you can't build up your knowledge to the best of your abilities if you don't know the basics.

    Course highlights:

I learned about quantum mechanics, the way electrons and light interact and form. I learned the basics of chemistry and that is what will be the most important thing. Without this class, I wouldn't be able to understand the why and how everything works.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

If you want to succeed in this class I highly suggest listening to the lectures. Go to class every single session. You do not want to miss a day because you didn't feel like going. Taking notes, and not just notes, but good notes will help a lot. Any problems your teacher assigns you will most likely be the key to success. Whether the problems are collected or not, graded or not, do them. They may be tedious, hard, or you may just think you know the material already, but you really don't. Try all the problems assigned, even a few of the ones that weren't assigned, it's all good practice. And if you really want to be successful in class, go to your professors office hours. They are there to help and they want to help. They will undoubtedly be your best resource.
