    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Professor Katona is a pretty cool person herself but sometimes can be difficult to please when you give speeches. She hardly gives A's.

    Course highlights:

She once held a speed researching competition in class to see who could find the most reliable research on a topic the quickest and the winner won a copy of her book.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to take lots of time practicing your speech way before you present it. Always remeber to dress well when giving a speech.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is rigorous and challenging. Mehl may come off as a bit arrogant, but he truly cares about his students and what they learn. If you put genuine effort in, you should be just fine.

    Course highlights:

Over coming my fear of public speaking was definitely a highlight. I learned how to be a comfortable speaker and how to adapt my speech to my particular audience.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Public speaking/communication is a crucial skill to have in the work force. You need to grow and be challenged in this area! Go to office hours, any professor appreciates it when his/her students take the time to ask for advice of help.
