Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

While it is required, I would recommend it because it makes you think outside the box (or the cube) whether you want to or not.

    Course highlights:

I learned how I learn, you really do #learnbydoing.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Don't over think it and have fun.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Joann was an exceptional teacher who truly brightened my day. As an incoming freshman, the transition to college was daunting and being introduced to the abstract side of studying architecture stretched my brain. Fortunately , Joann was uplifting, understanding, and provided helpful criticism in order to help students succeed. She genuinely cares about the well being of students.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were having such a hands on experience. In class, we used drawing boards to learn how to draft, we visited the wood and metal shop to become certified in using all shop tools, we gained confidence in using computer software (InDesign and Rhino), and made physical models of our own artistic designs daily. We learned by doing.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

I would tell students to have fun with it and not to procrastinate. Don't be discouraged if designs do not come into mind immediately, give yourself some time and you will be pleasantly surprised with the outcome.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class was very, very challenging, but it was rewarding as well.

    Course highlights:

It is so much fun to push the limits of your creativity and attempt to create great things out of simple structures.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Stay up late at night, walk the extra mile, make an effort. It is worth it in the end.
