    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

So I took professor Humphries my second semester at FGCU. This would be the second time I would take Biology 1 and I was nervous. Professor Humpries did a great job and always had well organized slide shows with highlighted sections so we knew what we should focus on for each slide. He also had little funny graphics and quotes that went along with some of the topics to help you memorize them. Overall, he was a great professor.

    Course highlights:

I gained a better knowledge on the cycles in the body as well as the ones that take place in different plants and bacteria. We did many labs that were really intriguing!

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay organized and read ahead. Also set aside about 30 minutes after each lecture to make note cards about that days topics. There's a lot of material to cover and this will help you not feel overwhelmed by the approaching exam date. Also study just a little bit everyday because cramming will not work for this class. Flash cards are great to stick in your pocket and look over when you are on the shuttle to main campus or even when your'e waiting in line for coffee.
