    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it has a lot of good experiences and it has a lot of useful rewards. All college freshman have to take a biology, so why not be introduced to the information in a more friendly, personal high school setting. Plus you do a lot of fun experiments and dissections, and there is almost no math!

    Course highlights:

I learned all about cell function and structure, there was a ton of genetics from simple punnet squares to poly factorial situations. There was alot on DNA and RNA as well.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

I excelled with a 95% in that class but i had a very easy going teacher! To someone with a normal or even a little tough teacher i would recommend studying for sure because there is a lot of information to cover.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is very challenging but it offers tangible rewards. Every college freshman has to take a biology, so why not get exposed to the material in the much more friendly high school environment. Plus the class does fun hands on things like chemical reactions and dissections and there is very little math, almost none!

    Course highlights:

I took this class as a high school junior, i learned all about cell structure and function, mitosis and meiosis, DNA and RNA along with the central dogma. Also some really cool cancer research stuff!

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

I excelled in this course but i also had a very east going teacher. There is a ton of information in this class, it can move quickly, it can also drag by with lectures but there will always be work to do. Studying is pretty much required but you don't have to over work yourself.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It's a hard and rigorous course. We covered mostly genetics and DNA replication. There are a lot of fun labs that are worth looking forward too! You do have to study a lot, and if you struggled with Bio II then this might be a little too intense for you.

    Course highlights:

I remember learning a lot more about genetics than I ever thought there was. I learned that in real life Punnett squares almost never actually apply. I also learned a lot of the molecules that help in DNA replication!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study a lot. whatever material you have to study from, use it. Also ask a lot of questions, the more the better because things get very confusing very quick. Have a basic understanding of the cell cycle, photosynthesis, macromolecules, Mendellian genetics, and DNA replication, because if you already don't, you will learn!
