    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I do think this course could have been very informative and interesting, however, do not take it online. I made this mistake and learned almost nothing. We were expected to teach each other in discussion boards and learn simply from reading the book. I do not strive in this form of learning, especially in a very hands on course. This course is all about textiles: stitching, fabrics, machinery, and all the steps of manufacturing from farming to distribution. It was a lot of information and very little explanation.

    Course highlights:

Textile science is all about the manufacturing process of creating textiles and everything that goes into it. I did learn a lot about sustainability and how important it is for our industry to move towards those practices, for the sake of our health and environment. I learned about different stitching, fibers (organic, natural, and synthetic), different printing/dying processes and fabric characteristics.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

DO NOT TAKE ONLINE!!!!!!!! You can learn a lot from this course but not through a computer and textbook. This is a very hands on course and should be treated as so. I honestly do not know why it is even offered as an online class.
