    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class is a lot of fun and Mr. Smith is one of the best teachers because he is very enthusiastic and funny when teaching. I learned so much taking this class and it was genuinely interesting to learn about US history.

    Course highlights:

One highlight of this class was the class discussions. After doing the reading for a chapter Mr. Smith would go over what we learned in a discussion. The discussions were always interesting because we learned new things from him that weren't even in the book.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you take this course you have to read the book because most of your test is based on things you read that the teacher may not have taught in class. Also if you have Mr. Smith he gives out reading guides or vocabulary sheets, and doing them will help you on the test because they follow the topics you should focus on in the unit.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I personally loved this class because I have always loved history. If you were to take this class, you NEED to take notes on the reading assignments. The tests in this class are very detail oriented- you can't just know the overall facts. You don't necessarily need to know the dates for everything, just the major events.

    Course highlights:

I learned about the history of the United States, from the pre-Columbus Native Americans, the settling and founding of the country, all the way to the 1980's.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You absolutely have to take notes on the reading, study for the tests, and make sure that you understand why events happened.
