    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The course is a very rigorous program that tests students’ intellectual abilities. It includes a challenging curriculum that digs deeper into the field of chemistry. The material covered in the course increases students’ higher-level thinking skills and impacts their future decisions as well about the topic of chemistry.

    Course highlights:

The course helped me develop my intellectual ability in the world of chemistry. We covered numerous topics from stoichiometry to gas laws. The most interesting chapter I loved learning about was dealing with ions and ionic and covalent bonds. Learning about how to balance equations and practicing electronegativity taught me valuable skills I would need in future courses that involved chemistry.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Some helpful hints for interested students before taking this course would be to talk to a local counselor or teacher of the course and ask for advice whether or not the course was best suited for their interests. In addition, I would research previous students' experiences that have taken the curriculum and proved to be successful through taking the course. Any additional help would be beneficial to determine the right decision to make.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

She is not a very good teacher. If you do take her class, do all the work, never miss her class, and study everything. It may help you to get a tutor if you are not understanding her materials.

    Course highlights:

We had one day where we went into the lab. We got to do some hands on learning on light, how to make ice-cream with liquid nitrogen, and how compounds combine together. It was very helpful.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Study all the flash cards she makes you write. I would also get a tutor or go to after school tutoring if you do not understand the concept. Everything builds off of each other.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I hated this class so much because it was just so difficult and very math heavy.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to effectively use Avogadro number, but I can honestly tell you I can't remember how to use it now.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

YOU ARE GONNA NEED TO STUDY!! This wasn't a blow off class at all so don't treat it that way.
