Always Do the Reading
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
I would highly recommend this course because the professor itself is such an energetic and charismatic person. He loves what he teaches and the content of the course work is so interesting, early jazz is not only about the musicians and music but how it all begin and the many struggles that the Africans went through trying to bring jazz to light.
In this course I learned about historical events that took place in the early days of Jazz. How the Africans came about and how they overcame their tribulations against the Europeans.

Advice for students:
Always read the chapters the professors assigns along with listening to the music and musicians that correspond. If you read and listen to the chapter at the same time the understanding of jazz will be much easier, and the exams will flow by very easily
