Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Cozza is an amazing professor who truly cares about his students. His powerpoints and lectures are presented in a clear manner that is easy to follow along. The clicker questions really prepare you for the exams and his office hours are very helpful.

    Course highlights:

I gained a better appreciation for science courses at Florida International University. Professor John Cozza really reinforced general biology concepts and the peer led team learning program is beyond helpful. PLTL covers your final grade and helps you prepare for exams!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Attend lecture and take good notes. Reviewing the clicker questions and power points is a must in order to be fully prepared for the exam. Peer led team learning program covers the final so that is awesome! Overall, active participation and good scores on the weekly quizzes will set you up for success.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is a great class to take. Yes, you need to work hard but it is worth it at the end. The professor really cares about his students and wants to make sure we all understand the material and pass. Pitzer is very passionate about Biology and he shares his love for the subject through his lectures. It is a fun and interactive learning experience.

    Course highlights:

Pitzer was always positive and supportive of us. He made us believe we can succeed in the course and will learn many things. Everytime we were about to take an exam he would tell us, "You can do this! You worked hard and studied." He was very encouraging.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to lecture, take notes, and definitely do PLTL (and other tutoring opportunities offered). Also, if you have questions on the material that you did not understand in lecture, there is free tutoring at FIU and Pitzer encourages us to go visit him during his office hours. Do it!
