Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course was very informative as it was required for my major. By creating a proper schedule and setting up study days, I was capable of retaining the information contained in each chapter with ease. Furthermore, the professor did an excellent job at approaching the subject.

    Course highlights:

In this course I learned far more than I expected with such a short amount of time (6 week summer course). I learned the various aspects of marine life, and had the capability of observing some of these aspects up close in person on the Biscayne Bay Campus. Not only this, but I also preferred the Biology 2 material in comparison to the material presented in Biology 1. Moreover, this course was demonstrated in a way that I'm proud I've had the opportunity to learn.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

During this course I'd highly recommend reading the textbook every night. The information in your textbook is vital towards your understanding of the material. If you have any difficulties in this course, try using your teacher's office hours as they are always available it help if needed. Study groups for this course also helped me succeed and taking notes of the readings prior to lecture was also very helpful.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

The class was fairly easy as long as you did the readings before class. Since it was flipped learning, we did work sheets every class. Though they could at times be annoying, they were a great grade booster because they were easy. His tests really arent hard as long as you don't wait until the last minute to study. It's a lot of material so it's best to review early. When he does lecture, it's great. He's a pretty reasonable and nice guy and offers an extra credit workshop. If you didn't do that great in biology one, it's okay, this class doesn't build off of it a lot.

    Course highlights:

I really enjoyed when we played biojeopardy as a class activity because not only was it really fun, he would lecture a little after each question so I felt like I learned a lot. I felt like I have a good grasp of all the material we covered but he does focus on zoology more than botany.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Just read the chapters before class. Notes are also super helpful because you're allowed to use them while completing the group worksheets. That way when you go to study, you can study the condensed version of the material in your notes. It's a lot of reading so if you don't stay on top of it, you won't do too well. It's about a chapter every class. Also, after tests, go to his office hours to look at your tests. Sometimes the scantron messes up but they are also great study guides for the final.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is very easy since it is all based on the information he says and provides in class, however if you are looking for a class in which you don't really have to go and you can study off the book and do well this is definitely not the best option.

    Course highlights:

His lectures are very interesting and there is a lot of class question ad engagement. There are also articles which are very interesting a relevant to the topics.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

go to class and right notes on he important things he says in class and what he refers to in the figures.
