    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I strongly recommend taking this class with professor Pons. If you have ever messed around with Arduinos, Raspberry Pis or you have thought of doing so, this class will help you get a deeper understanding on how a microcontroller works. This class works with the BeagleBone Black micro-controller.

    Course highlights:

Learning bash is an extremely useful tool for any computer engineer to have in his/her arsenal. You will also learn how to compile the Linux kernel proper from scratch, write Linux kernel drivers and study the anatomy of the Linux operating system. You get to program in the BeagleBone Black.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take industrial amount of notes during the class! Seriously. Take as many as you can. But more than anything, whatever Pons does on the computer do it yourself on yours so that at least you have the commands saved on your terminal!
