Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it 100%. The real purpose of this course is for students to really learn about behavior analysis and how to implement interventions.

    Course highlights:

I learned about how to measure behavior, to identify function of behavior, how to implement schedule of reinforcement, different interventions: antecedent interventions, differential reinforcement, extinction, shaping, chaining, imitation, token economy, etc.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The best advice I could give is to read each chapter before class that help me to understand the concepts better. Also, I highly recommend to buy the book, not to rent it. It’s a book worth keeping around.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class is extremely helpful when initially beginning the ABA sequence to become a certified therapist. It not only help towards credentials, but also towards life skills in a social, parental, employment, and so on setting. The professor has also been extremely helpful with providing a lot of resources to understand the material fully.

    Course highlights:

There are various ways to use the tools of ABA. Many behaviors function differently dependent on the individual, and that makes this aspect of psychology - behaviorism, very unique and personalized to each client. Even though every client has different needs, that may look the same on the outside, ABA provides a concise format to identifying and modifying those behaviors. It has been extremely useful utilizing these tools Ive learned from this course and I found this the best part of what I learned in this class.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

If a student plans on taking this course, it is important to be prepared to read, write, reread, connect with other students, and study a lot. For the online course, we had weekly lectures (videos) to watch and write detailed summaries on. We also had quizzes and assignments due weekly. The professor is not lenient on time, so I found it useful to always stick to my schedule and be on time.
