Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this class for those looking to complete a pre-requisite course. It is an intro course meaning the workload is not as severe as other philosophy classes.

    Course highlights:

The professor was always interested in the course and expected each person to at least give their opinions during discussions. I learned the basics to philosophy but you actually learn more every time you participate in a discussion.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Always read the assignments, whether it is one or three assignments because he grades for discussions and grades for participation. Finally, take this course seriously because one slip up can set you back a few classes.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The content of the course itself is very thought provoking and challenging for those who enjoy that sort of thing.

    Course highlights:

The most useful information was argumentative reasoning.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be sure to read the book depending on you professor, but more importantly take diligent notes that are easy to refer back to.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because the class energy was fluent and vibrant. The professor was funny and encouraged the class to discuss material during class time. The professor wanted to hear other views of the material and really stressed in-class participation.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course include being able to think creatively. In the class, there were many times when I had to imply certain things based on facts that were presented and times where I had to create my own scenarios instead of just using the ones given to me. That is something that I feel that in essential to college students; being able to go beyond what the textbook says.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

There were no quizzes. Instead, he assigned take home papers and in class writing assignments. He was very thorough in his instructions regarding essays and writing topics. If anyone had questions, he was very eager to help out and to make sure that they are fully prepared to write their essay. He would dedicate a class before the due date to discuss any last questions.
